One last thing!

I have to confess that I've fallen victim to the checklist stress that comes with shopping, entertaining, and visiting during this time of year. It's almost always too late with too many things to accomplish. One of my favorite holiday songs is Do They Know it's Christmas. There are a number of reasons I like this song, not the least of which is that it features Bono, Sting, and Paul McCartney, but it always reminds me how fortunate I am. Fortunate to be an American, fortunate to be living in a land of opportunity, fortunate to have choices, and fortunate to have ample access to the basic necessities. Sometimes, this moment of perspective is all I need to slow down and appreciate the holiday season for what it should be--peaceful and joyous. Take a moment away from the checklist and enjoy the season. It'll be okay--I promise.
