- Seasonal Sales and Outreach Associate -

How many positions? 2 part-time positions (7-15 hours per week).
When? Starts July, 2017
Time? Saturday and Sunday mornings (7:00am - 2:00pm)
Where? Vienna, VA;  Stone Ridge, VA; Arlington, VA; Alexandria, VA
What? You'll be operating a Spartan Oil booth at a local farmer's market. 

This will include a variety of responsibilities:

  • Set up farmers market stand (involves picking up material at 7:00am, traveling to farmer’s market, setting up a tent, tables, and display)
  • Coordinate with farmer’s market staff to set up
  • Engage customers in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner
  • Provide information and answer questions from customers
  • Sell products to customers (involves conducting transactions on an iPhone-based POS system)
  • Break down Farmer’s Market Stand (involves carefully and efficiently packing up material and returning material)
Requirements?
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds multiple times per day
  • A smartphone (will be used to process orders)
  • A vehicle with cargo space to carry materials to set up booth
  • Valid drivers license
  • Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness required for food handling

While the minimum requirements are above, the most important requirements are independence, trustworthiness, resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity, genuine passion for quality food products, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. 

Compensation

Hourly rate, plus generous performance/incentive compensation.
