One last thing! 

I have to confess that I've fallen victim to the checklist stress that comes with shopping, entertaining, and visiting during this time of year. It's almost always too late with too many things to accomplish. One of my favorite holiday songs is Do They Know it's Christmas. There are a number of reasons I like this song, not the least of which is that it features Bono, Sting, and Paul McCartney, but it always reminds me how fortunate I am. Fortunate to be an American, fortunate to be living in a land of opportunity, fortunate to have choices, and fortunate to have ample access to the basic necessities. Sometimes, this moment of perspective is all I need to slow down and appreciate the holiday season for what it should be--peaceful and joyous. Take a moment away from the checklist and enjoy the season. It'll be okay--I promise.

'Tis the Season! (That happened quickly, huh?)

We'll keep this brief. We know this isn't the only holiday-related message you'll receive.

• We're very excited to have a local Vienna store--Maple Avenue Market--as our first retail spot! If you are in the area, please visit and support them. They have great local produce, meats, and other products. Pick up a bottle of Spartan Oil and a homemade pumpkin pie while you're there!
• Our Spartan Oil tastings have been well-received and we'll be continuing throughout the holidays. Here's what we've got during the next week: Tastings at the Williams-Sonoma store in Tysons Corner on November 22 (1pm-5pm) and November 26 (5pm-9pm), and at Maple Avenue Market in Vienna on November 25 (2pm-7pm). Please come by and experience a Spartan Oil tasting!

We've been busy...
And, there's more to come!

Here are a few highlights:

• The first official Spartan Oil tasting was on Saturday, November 1st at the Williams-Sonoma store in Tysons Corner. The reviews were awesome. We'll be back at least a few more times during the holidays.
• We will be exhibiting at the MetroCookingDC food show (18,000 people attend!) on Saturday and Sunday, November 8-9. Check out the Spartan Oil Facebook page for details on how you can win free tickets ($20 value). Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri will be there!
• We've added a new pour top option to our stoneware bottles. Details are on our blog.
• Our Premium Gift Package with wooden box are in stock and available for immediate delivery. Starting at $36, this is a great gift for the holidays. Speaking of the holidays...
• We've added holiday delivery options to gift items. Just select the relevant holiday and we'll deliver it the week before.
